Biography
Dr. Yanhong Wu joined Visa Research as a Staff Research Scientist in March 2018. Yanhong received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2017. He received a B.S. in Software Engineering from Fudan University in 2013. Prior to joining Visa, Yanhong was a Postdoctoral Researcher at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, working on anomaly detection and visualization for finaicla services. Before working at IBM, he was a Visiting Scholar at Inria, and a Research Intern at Microsoft.
As a member of the Data Analytics team, his research interests are in visual analytics, graph mining and deep learning. He has published six papers in several international conferences and journals, including InfoVis, Visual Analytics Science and Technology Conference (VAST), Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI) and others. Dr. Wu is the recipient of numerous awards, including the 2016 Best Paper Honorable Mention at the Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems.
