With the continued popularity of mCommerce and ubiquity of eCommerce, Visa is excited to share that Samsung Pay is officially available to Visa Checkout merchants as of November 1. Visa and Samsung are committed to making the online payment experience simpler, faster and more secure. Announced in April, the Visa and Samsung joint partnership allows Samsung Pay users in the U.S. who link their Samsung Pay account with a Visa Checkout account, to shop seamlessly and securely with more than 350,000 Visa Checkout merchants.
Visa Checkout’s open platform and streamlined APIs allow Samsung to expand its fingerprint authentication to the hundreds of thousands of merchants around the world currently supporting Visa Checkout. Samsung Pay integration is simple for existing Visa Checkout merchants thanks to the open platform.
The co-branded Visa Checkout and Samsung Pay button eliminates the need for a username and password. Simultaneously, innovations such as Samsung Rewards are giving consumers incentives to embrace mobile payments.
This partnership is yet another step forward in Visa’s journey toward creating a cashless culture and underscores that Samsung Pay works at more places than any other mobile payment service.
The rapidly expanding list of merchants continues to make it easier for consumers to buy online, on any device, using Visa Checkout.
